Everything you need to get the most out of Pedestal

Welcome to Pedestal Studio

Your all-in-one creator commerce platform

Pedestal Studio is where creators build their business. You can sell digital products, physical goods, subscriptions, and commission slots — all from a single place. Your public profile is your storefront, and Studio is your control room.

1

Set up your profile

Add a photo, bio, and handle so fans know who you are. Your profile is the first thing potential buyers see.

2

Create something to sell

List a digital product, physical item, or open a commission slot. You can sell to anyone — followers or new visitors.

3

Connect Stripe

Before you can receive money, connect a Stripe account under Settings → Account → Payments → Payouts. It only takes a few minutes.

4

Share and grow

Post content, upload reels, and let the Explore page do the discovery work. Regular posting keeps your audience engaged.

Pedestal fee

Pedestal takes just 5% per sale. You keep the rest. There are no monthly fees or listing costs.

Your Profile

Your public storefront and identity

Your profile is the public face of your Pedestal account. Fans, buyers, and new visitors all land here first. A complete profile builds trust and converts visitors into followers and customers.

1

Add a profile photo

Go to Settings → Account → Personal and upload a clear photo. Profiles with photos get significantly more engagement.

2

Write a bio

Tell people who you are and what you create. Keep it short and specific — mention what you sell and your niche.

3

Choose your handle

Your handle is your URL (e.g. pedestalstud.io/u/yourhandle). Pick something recognisable and consistent with your other social accounts.

4

Set your role / category

Add a creator role label (e.g. 'Photographer', 'Artist', 'Coach') so the Explore page can surface you to the right audience.

Keep it current

Update your bio whenever you launch something new. Returning visitors notice.

Creating Posts

Share content and keep your audience engaged

Posts form the heart of your feed. They appear on your public profile and in the feeds of everyone who follows you. Regular posting keeps you visible and your shop feeling active.

1

Open Studio → My Stuff

Tap the Sparkles icon to go to Studio, then tap My Stuff. Use the + Create button or the quick-post button in the bottom nav.

2

Choose your post type

You can post a photo, video, text update, or a link. Mix formats to keep your feed interesting.

3

Set visibility

Posts can be visible to everyone, followers only, or restricted to a specific subscription tier. Gating premium content behind a tier incentivises subscriptions.

4

Publish

Hit Post. It immediately appears on your profile and in your followers' feeds.

Post consistently

Even one post per week keeps your feed alive. Dormant profiles lose followers.

Tease your products

Posts are a great place to show behind-the-scenes content and link to your offers.

Offers & Products

Sell digital downloads, physical goods, and commissions

Pedestal supports two main types of sellable items: digital products and physical listings. Both appear on your storefront and can be purchased by anyone — no follow required.

1

Go to Studio → My Stuff → Create

Tap + Create and choose 'Offer'. You'll be asked to select the type: digital or physical.

2

Digital product

Upload a file (PDF, ZIP, preset pack, etc.) and set a price. When someone buys it, they get an instant download link. No shipping, no fulfilment.

3

Physical listing

Add photos, description, price, and shipping cost. You handle packing and shipping yourself. Great for merch, prints, or handmade goods.

4

Set pricing and limits

You can offer a product for free, set a fixed price, or let buyers pay what they want. You can also cap the number of sales for limited drops.

5

Publish to your storefront

Once published, the item appears on your public profile's Shop tab and on the Explore page.

Commissions

Open commission slots by creating a 'Commission' offer type. Set your rate, turnaround, and intake cap. Buyers submit a request you can accept or decline.

Collections

Group your products into curated sections

Collections let you organise your products into named groups on your storefront — like 'Beginner Pack', 'Photo Presets', or 'Limited Edition'. Buyers can browse by collection instead of scrolling one big list.

1

Go to Studio → My Stuff

Scroll down to the Collections section and tap 'New Collection'.

2

Name your collection

Give it a clear, descriptive name. Think about how a buyer scanning your shop would want things grouped.

3

Add products

Tap 'Add products' and select which items belong in this collection. Products can appear in multiple collections.

4

Gate a collection (optional)

Assign a subscription tier to a collection to make it visible only to paying subscribers. Great for exclusive bundles.

Order matters

Drag collections to reorder them. Put your best-selling or most relevant collection at the top.

Subscription Tiers

Monthly memberships with exclusive perks

Subscription tiers let fans pay a recurring monthly fee to access gated content, exclusive posts, or discounted offers. Once someone subscribes to a tier, they automatically unlock everything assigned to it.

1

Create a tier

Go to Studio → My Stuff → Create → Subscription Tier. Set a name, monthly price, and description of what subscribers get.

2

Describe the perks

Be specific. 'Exclusive behind-the-scenes posts every week' is more compelling than 'exclusive content'.

3

Gate content to the tier

When creating a post, product, collection, or reel, set its visibility to your tier. Subscribers see it; everyone else sees a locked placeholder.

4

Manage subscribers

See all your active subscribers in Studio → My Peeps. You can message them directly from there.

Start with one tier

One well-defined tier is easier to sell than three confusing ones. You can add more later once you understand what your fans want.

Deliver consistently

Subscribers pay every month. Make sure there is always new gated content for them to discover.

Reels & Reel Collections

Short-form video on your own terms

Upload short videos directly to Pedestal (powered by Bunny Stream) or sync your Instagram reels. Reel Collections let you group videos into named categories and gate them behind a subscription tier for paid-only access.

1

Go to Studio → Reels

This is your dedicated video hub. You'll see your uploaded reels, Instagram-connected shorts, and your reel collections.

2

Upload a reel

Tap the Upload button and choose a video file from your device. Processing usually takes under a minute. Your reel goes live automatically once ready.

3

Connect Instagram (optional)

In Studio → Reels, paste your Instagram reel URL to import it. Or connect your Instagram account in Settings → Account → Shorts to sync automatically.

4

Create a Reel Collection

Scroll to the Collections section and tap 'New Collection'. Give it a name like 'Behind the Scenes' or 'Tutorials'.

5

Add reels to a collection

Expand the collection and tap 'Add reels'. Select which reels belong in it. Reels can appear in multiple collections.

6

Gate a collection (optional)

Assign a subscription tier to the collection. Only subscribers to that tier will see those reels.

Thumbnails

Thumbnails are generated automatically once a reel finishes processing. If a thumbnail is missing, visit Studio → Reels to trigger a refresh.

Payments & Stripe

Connect Stripe and start getting paid

Pedestal uses Stripe Connect so payouts go directly to your bank account. You need to connect a Stripe account before you can receive money from sales or subscriptions. It takes about 5 minutes.

1

Go to Settings → Account → Payments → Payouts

This is your payout hub. You'll see your current Stripe connection status here.

2

Start Stripe setup

Click 'Start Stripe setup'. You'll be redirected to Stripe's onboarding flow. You can use an existing Stripe account or create a free one.

3

Complete Stripe onboarding

Stripe will ask for your bank details, identity, and business information. Once approved, your status changes to 'Connected and ready'.

4

Sales pay out automatically

Once connected, every sale or subscription payment lands in your Stripe balance and pays out to your bank on Stripe's normal schedule (usually 2–7 days).

5% platform fee

Pedestal takes 5% of each sale. Stripe charges their standard card processing fee (2.9% + 30¢). There are no monthly fees.

Stripe dashboard

Once onboarding is complete, the 'Start Stripe setup' button changes to 'Open Stripe dashboard' — tap it to see your full payouts, balances, and transaction history.

Explore & Discovery

Get found by new fans and buyers

The Explore page is Pedestal's public discovery feed. Fans browse here to find new creators and shops. Your profile appears on Explore automatically when it is public and has at least one published product or post.

1

Make sure your profile is public

Go to Settings → Account → Privacy and confirm your profile visibility is set to public. Private profiles do not appear on Explore.

2

Publish at least one product or post

Empty profiles do not appear on Explore. Add something — even a free download or a text post — to get listed.

3

Browse other creators

Use Explore to find creators in your niche for inspiration, collabs, or to see how others price and present their work.

4

Search by name or handle

Fans can search Explore by creator name, handle, or category. Make sure your display name and handle are searchable.

Activity helps ranking

Recently active profiles with new posts are ranked higher on Explore. Posting regularly keeps you visible.
